Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

The short version

The Scriptwriter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your scripts and all data you create live on your device and go nowhere else.

What data we collect

None. The Scriptwriter has no accounts, no sign-up, no login, and no server that receives your data. Specifically:

Where your data is stored

All data you create in The Scriptwriter is stored locally on your device in two places:

Infrastructure and hosting

The Scriptwriter is hosted on GitHub Pages and served through Cloudflare. Standard web server access logs (IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp) may be retained by these providers as part of normal hosting operations. This is standard practice for any website and is not under our control. These providers have their own privacy policies:

Microsoft Store

If you installed The Scriptwriter through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft may collect usage data as part of their platform. This is governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement. The Scriptwriter itself does not receive any data from Microsoft about you.

Children's privacy

The Scriptwriter does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Because we collect no personal data at all, the app is safe for use by people of all ages.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Since we collect no data, significant changes are unlikely.
